Dr Simon Chow

Dr. Simon Chow began his medical studies at the University of Toronto after obtaining his first university degree in biochemistry in British Columbia. He continued his medical studies at the University of Toronto and completed his residency in general surgery at McGill University in Montreal.

Following a master’s degree in science where he contributed to the advancement of medical knowledge, he undertook a postgraduate program in bariatric surgery with world-renowned bariatric and gastrointestinal surgeons with Health Heritage, in Portland, Oregon (USA).

He has also conducted other bariatric research projects and is the author of numerous medical publications. He has presented the results of his research at countless national and international conferences.

Dr. Chow is board certified in General and Bariatric Surgery in Canada (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada) and in the United States (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons). He is also a member in good standing of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the American Society of Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Canadian Association of General Surgeons.
