The Metropolitan Surgery Center is the only specialized hospital in Canada to offer gender affirming surgery to the trans and non-binary community for over 25 years.

The Asclepiade Convalescent Home, attached to the Metropolitan Center for Surgery, remains to this day the only convalescent home in the world dedicated to people who have had recourse to gender-affirming genital surgery.
